Renovation of the BFM Polo San Luigi

Starting from 13 November 2025, and until the completion of the renovation works, the BFM Polo San Luigi library branch will be closed to the public.

Access to digital resources and services such as document delivery, assisted bibliographic searches / support for systematic reviews, as well as assistance with IRIS, Open Access, and bibliometrics, will remain AVAILABLE through the usual channels and contact methods.
Library staff will assist users from temporary offices located near the refreshment area at the entrance to the Teaching Building (Polo Didattico).

Book loans and on-site consultations will CHANGE: starting from 27 November 2025 these services will be provided (also for books belonging to the Polo San Luigi collections) at the BFM Sede Chiabrera, Via Chiabrera 27, Turin, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., as well as at all other BFM locations. The catalogue can be consulted at catalogo.unito.it 

PLEASE NOTE: To allow the return of the collections to their original location, the loan service for books belonging to the Polo San Luigi at Sede Chiabera will be suspended from 30 March 2026 until further notice. Returns of currently borrowed items may be made at Sede Chiabrera, Presidio Dental School or at the BFM staff temporary offices at San Luigi. The loan service will resume at the Polo San Luigi once all materials have been returned to the shelves.

Until the reopening and full reorganisation of the Polo San Luigi, consultation of print journals and non-current editions of books held at the library will be SUSPENDED, as will the use of its reading areas. 

We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back to a renewed space: thanks to improved facilities and furnishings, Polo San Luigi will soon offer larger, better equipped, and more comfortable environments for study, research, and the use of BFM services.
